Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, has stated that the general election in 2027 will be his last run for the Nigerian presidency. The statement was made by former vise president Atiku during a Facebook Live session as he gets ready to run for president again after decades of seeking the nation’s highest political position. The previous vise president, who held office from 1999 to 2007, has won the ADC ticket for the 2027 election and has run for president multiple times.Atiku declared during the meeting that he will not run for president again following the 2027 election.
“This will be my final presidential campaign, win or lose,” he declared.Additionally, Atiku reiterated his accusations that President Bola Tinubu’s academic credentials were faked. The ADC candidate insisted that inquiries about Nigeria’s president’s educational background were improper and reaffirmed his earlier stance on the issue.
“I was the one who raised the issue surrounding President Bola Tinubu’s academic certificates, and I stand by my position that there was forgery,” Atiku said.
“It is unacceptable for the President of Nigeria to have such questions surrounding his academic credentials,” he added.
