Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke is being received by President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Days before Adeleke’s visit, President Tinubu personally called to congratulate him on winning reelection. He called the result “a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our country” and urged the governor to bring Osun residents together regardless of their political preferences.
Around 5:40 p.m. local time, four additional Osun State officials were seen entering the building via the hallways.
The governor showed up with Nuhu Ribadu, the national security adviser.
Since he was re-elected in the governorship race last Saturday, this is his first encounter with the president.
These include Senator Lere Oyewumi, Director-General of the Adeleke Campaign Council; Mr. Sunday Bisi, a Council member; Akinleye Kazeem, Chief of Staff to the Governor of Osun State; and Bamidele Salam, a member of the House of Representatives who represents the Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency of Osun State.
