Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has commended the Forest Guards initiative as a strategic move in addressing insecurity across the state. During a stakeholders’ engagement in Akure, the governor expressed satisfaction with the efforts of the guards, describing their operations as effective in curbing criminal activities in forested areas.
Security experts, traditional rulers, and community leaders also praised the initiative, noting its impact in reducing kidnappings, banditry, and illegal activities in rural regions. The event emphasized the importance of local security collaboration and proactive governance in securing lives and property.
Aiyedatiwa reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening the security architecture and called for continued support for the Forest Guards and other security agencies operating in the state.
