Speed Darlington Declared Wanted by NAPTIP Over Rape Allegation, Denies Involvement

Controversial Nigerian singer, Speed Darlington, has been declared wanted by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) over allegations of rape. The declaration was made public via NAPTIP’s official social media platform, where a wanted notice bearing his name and photograph was shared, identifying him as Darlington Okoye.

The agency called on anyone with useful information regarding his whereabouts to report to the nearest NAPTIP office or security agency. According to the notice, Speed Darlington is facing serious accusations and is needed in connection with a rape case under investigation.

However, in a swift reaction, the singer took to social media to deny the allegations, describing the wanted notice as fake and an attempt to tarnish his image. He argued that the image used in the notice appeared to have been doctored and dismissed the claims as baseless.

Speed Darlington, known for his controversial social media presence and eccentric music career, questioned the authenticity of the publication and challenged NAPTIP to produce concrete evidence. He also demanded that the agency issue a public apology for what he termed an unlawful defamation of character.

As the controversy continues to unfold, NAPTIP has yet to provide additional details on the allegations or clarify the next steps in the ongoing investigation.
