Again Suspected Lakurawa killed 6 in Kebbi. By Jameel Gulma in Kebbi

On Sunday afternoon, suspected Lakurawa bandits invaded Bagura village in the Augie Local Government area of Kebbi, stealing an unknown number of cows and murdering six individuals in Morai village. A villager, who wished to remain anonymous, informed an Ebony Herald correspondent that while he was working in his farm close to the village, he heard gunfire and cries, and later witnessed people fleeing to the town, shouting for assistance. He also mentioned that six individuals were killed and many others were injured as the assailants made off with an unspecified number of cows toward Bagiza town along the Nigeria-Niger border. The Executive Chairman of Augie Local Government, Honourable Yahaya Muhammed Augie, confirmed the incident to the Ebony Herald correspondent via phone. He prayed for Allah to grant the deceased eternal peace and provide their families with the strength to cope with their loss. All attempts to reach the police were unsuccessful, as Kebbi police command PPRO SP Nafi’u Abubakar did not answer calls or respond to text messages. Honourable Yahaya Muhammed Augie, the Executive Chairman of Augie Local Government, was present at the funeral of the six victims of the tragedy.
