Nigerian Army Dismisses Fake Recruitment Notice, Warns Public Against Scam

The Nigerian Army has refuted a recruitment notice making the rounds on social media, describing it as false and misleading. The fake publication claimed that the 90th Regular Recruitment Intake had commenced, prompting the Army to issue a public clarification.

In a statement released in Abuja, Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations at the Directorate of Recruitment, Captain Abubakar Umar Hammanga, urged Nigerians to disregard the fraudulent announcement. He stressed that official recruitment exercises are only announced through the Army’s verified platforms.

The Army assured the public of its commitment to transparency and professionalism in its recruitment process. It further cautioned citizens to remain vigilant, avoid falling prey to scams, and refrain from sharing unverified recruitment information.
