As part of its 25th anniversary celebration, MTN Nigeria has cautioned its customers about phony websites, links, and social media posts that purport to give a 25GB free data package.Thru its official X support account, the telecom behemoth warned consumers on Saturday to exercise caution and refrain from interacting with dubious sites that seem to be offering the deal.According to MTN, the official 25GB anniversary offer is only accessible via its official channels, including the MTN eShop and MyMTN NG App.
“Please beware of fake MTN 25th Anniversary 25GB giveaway offers circulating online,” the company warned.
It cautioned users against paying websites or platforms that purport to provide access to the giveaway, disclosing personal information, or clicking on unreliable links.By signing onto the MyMTN App and choosing “Redeem Now” on the anniversary banner, qualified customers can take advantage of the offer, according to MTN.
To activate the bundle, subscribers can also go to the MTN eShop and follow the directions. Customers can use the URL included in the official SMS communication they received about the campaign.The business additionally urged customers against sharing personal information, including banking data, passwords and one-time passwords, with unknown websites or individuals.
Additionally, MTN stated that the 25GB bundle has a validity time and would expire on the designated expiration date at 11:59 p.m.The telecom provider advised consumers to ignore dubious websites and social media posts and to confirm all information regarding the anniversary promotion thru its legitimate channels.
