JUST IN: Rivers women rally in support of emergency rule

A large group of women in Rivers State gathered on Monday in Port Harcourt to express their support for the state of emergency declaration.

Dressed entirely in white, the women convened at the Garrison Bus Stop in the city center at 8 a.m. to kick off their rally. At the time of this report, they were singing unity songs in favor of the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (red), as they marched along Aba Road towards the government house in Port Harcourt. It is worth mentioning that last week, many women, organized as ‘Rivers Women for Sim,’ held a protest against the state of emergency and Governor Siminalayi Fubara's suspension.
