Governor Sanwo-Olu Appointed Patron of UWE Bristol’s Centre for African Social and Economic Transformation

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has been appointed as the Patron of the newly established Centre for African Social and Economic Transformation (CASET) at the University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol. This appointment acknowledges the strides made by Lagos State under his leadership, particularly in entrepreneurship and digital innovation.

Expressing his gratitude, Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted that this role underscores the significance of collaboration in addressing Africa’s challenges. CASET aims to unite academics, policymakers, and industry leaders to foster sustainable development across the continent.

The Governor emphasized that this position offers an avenue to strengthen ties between Lagos State and UWE Bristol, focusing on capacity building, policy development, and nurturing future African leaders.
