On June 3, 2025, the Ondo State House of Assembly witnessed significant leadership changes as Deputy Speaker Abayomi Akinruntan and Majority Leader Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi resigned from their. positions. Akinruntan attributed his resignation to political power-sharing arrangements.
