Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike has raised a fiery challenge to President Bola Tinubu, urging the publication of the 2015–2022 forensic audit of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). He insists the report will confirm that N48 billion was disbursed annually to Niger Delta women’s programmes—and has pledged to resign if evidence does otherwise. Wike accused former AGF Abubakar Malami of suppressing the document to shield influential beneficiaries.
Speaking on Channels TV’s Politics Today, Wike dismissed claims that Judith Amaechi, spouse of ex-Rivers Governor Rotimi Amaechi, is an industrialist. He described her as a trader, speaking out after Amaechi highlighted her supposed enterprise in native fabrics . He also refuted Amaechi’s suggestion that he “made” him politically, instead recounting how he risked his life and financed Amaechi’s rise to governorship during turbulent times.
Wike didn’t stop there—he also took aim at ADC leaders including former Senate President David Mark and Bolaji Abdullahi, portraying them as failed politicians with no credible track records. He credited current President Tinubu with reviving an economy “buried” under former President Buhari, and challenged ADC’s big names to present their own achievements before criticizing others.
