Dangote Launches Hotline for Nigerians to Report MRS Stations Charging Petrol Above ₦739/Litre

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has unveiled a new nationwide hotline to empower consumers to report any MRS Oil Nigeria Plc filling stations selling Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, above the approved price of ₦739 per litre. The dedicated number — 0800 123 5264 — is active across the country to help ensure fair pricing and protect motorists during the festive season.

Independent Newspaper NigeriaThis initiative comes on the heels of the refinery’s nationwide rollout of petrol sales at ₦739 per litre through over 2,000 MRS stations, part of a broader strategy to stabilize the downstream petroleum market and ease the financial burden on Nigerians. Dangote Refinery said the hotline will support transparency and consumer protection by making it easy to flag any non-compliant stations.

In its official statement, the company urged motorists to avoid purchasing fuel at inflated rates when quality petrol is available at the approved price, and called on regulatory authorities to act decisively against artificial scarcity or supply manipulation. Nigerians have been encouraged to use the hotline to report pricing violations so that the benefits of the price cut can reach every consumer.
