He emphasized that these state‑of‑the‑art transit hubs, equipped with CCTV monitoring and organized vehicle registration, are part of his Renewal Hope Agenda to modernize public transport, shorten travel times, and promote urban economic expansion .
Highlighting that Mabuchi Terminal—the first of its kind—was opened on June 17, 2025, Tinubu explained that the new terminals follow global best practices in sustainable urban planning. They are designed to eliminate roadside “one‑chance” pick‑ups and curb crime by ensuring full accountability of drivers and vehicles .
Speaking through Senate President Godswill Akpabio, the President urged residents to embrace these facilities by avoiding unauthorized roadside parks. He described the interconnected terminals, including the upcoming Eagle Square hub, as critical to his administration’s infrastructure-driven strategy to create jobs, boost trade, and foster growth .
FCT Minister Wike, acknowledged that while the presidential support may provoke resistance, enhanced transit facilities have already generated significant revenue and popularity. He affirmed his determination to continue these transformative projects .
