Ondo Local Councils Gear Up: State-Wide Staff Verification Set for June 30 – July 10

A sweeping screening drive for local government personnel across Ondo State is officially underway, following a directive from the Ondo State Local Government Service Commission . This initiative, initially launched last month but later postponed, has been rescheduled to commence on Monday, June 30, and run through July 10, 2025, according to a June 26 statement by NULGE Chairman Comrade Fredrick Akinrinlola .

All local council employees are required to attend in person, adhering to the provided schedule and maintaining proper conduct during the process . Attendees must bring vital documents such as their appointment and promotion letters, BVN and NIN printouts, academic qualifications, confirmation letters, passport photos, and any change-of-name or conversion certificates .

At the Okitipupa Local Government Secretariat, staff were observed preparing diligently—some applying for BVN slips and other necessary paperwork—underscoring widespread compliance with the exercise . The NULGE has emphasised the importance of participation, urging all employees to be present to validate their status and complete necessary formalities .
