Adeleke Calls for Unity as Osun Celebrates 34th Anniversary

Governor Ademola Adeleke has urged the people of Osun State to embrace peace, unity, and collective responsibility as the state marked its 34th anniversary. In a broadcast to commemorate the occasion, he described the anniversary as a moment of pride and reflection, paying tribute to the founding fathers whose sacrifices paved the way for the creation and growth of the state. Adeleke highlighted his administration’s achievements, pointing to improvements in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and agriculture. He noted the completion of road projects across the state, the provision of clean water in all 332 wards, and expanded access to electricity in rural areas.

He also emphasized the renovation of over 200 primary healthcare centers, medical outreaches in several communities, and increased enrollment in the state’s health insurance scheme. The governor further outlined his government’s commitment to workers’ welfare through prompt salary payments, reforms for accountability, and support for small businesses.

He added that subsidized farm inputs and empowerment programmes have been rolled out to boost food security and create economic opportunities. Reaffirming his dedication to good governance, Adeleke said his administration is guided by the Omoluabi values of discipline, honesty, and service.

He stressed that the future of Osun depends on unity and cooperation among citizens, assuring that his government will continue to pursue policies that promote inclusiveness and sustainable development. The governor concluded by calling on all residents to join hands with his administration in building a prosperous Osun where no one is left behind.
