The family of veteran Nollywood actress, Peju Ogunmola, has cleared the air over reports surrounding the death of her son, Sola Ayomikun Omobolanle. Contrary to speculations that he died in a bathroom accident, the family disclosed that he passed away in a hospital in Ibadan after a brief illness.In a statement signed by Yemi Amodu on behalf of the family, they described Ayomikun as a jewel and a rising star whose life touched many people before his untimely passing.
The family stressed that despite receiving the best possible medical care, he peacefully answered the call of his Creator. He has since been laid to rest at Eternal Rest Home in Ibadan.The statement strongly condemned the rumours of a domestic accident, labelling them misleading and disrespectful to the memory of the deceased. The family appealed to the public to disregard such false claims and allow Ayomikun’s memory to be honoured in dignity and peace.
Expressing their appreciation, the family thanked friends, colleagues, fans and well-wishers for the prayers, love and support shown during this painful period. They prayed that no other family would experience such a devastating loss and asked for continued prayers for strength and comfort.
