Fubara Scraps Rivers State Pension Committee — Accountant-General Takes Over Pending New Appointments

Governor Siminalayi Fubara has officially dissolved the Rivers State Pension Committee, handing over its duties to the Office of the State Accountant-General. The directive compels former committee members to surrender all assets and properties under their control to the Administrative Director of the Committee.

Until a fresh committee is appointed to manage pension affairs, the Accountant-General’s office will oversee all operations related to pension administration in the state. The move signals an interim restructuring of pension oversight in Rivers State under the Governor’s oversight.
