Bisola Ajimobi Kola-Daisi, the oldest daughter of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, has died at the age of 42.
Family sources have verified that Bisola, who was married to businessman Mr. Kolapo Kola-Daisi, passed away in the early hours of Thursday in the United Kingdom.
The reason for her death has not been made public.
Prior to her passing, Bisola held the position of Special Adviser to the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu.
The late governor’s media aide, Mr. Bolaji Tunji, confirmed this unfortunate news to reporters in Ibadan on Thursday.
“Yes. It has been confirmed,” Tunji stated briefly, mentioning that the family would provide additional information.
Bisola’s death occurs four years after the passing of her father, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, who served as Governor of Oyo State from 2011 to 2019 and died in June 2020 due to complications from COVID-19.
She is survived by her husband, her children, and her mother, Chief Florence Ajimobi.
