The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has launched an investigation into popular Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as KWAM 1, over an incident at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
KWAM 1 allegedly poured alcohol on an aviation security officer after being stopped at a checkpoint while attempting to board a ValueJet flight to Lagos on August 5, 2025. According to FAAN, the music star was carrying a liquid substance in a flask that exceeded the 100-millilitre limit permitted by airport security regulations. Despite being warned by both aviation security personnel and the flight captain, he refused to comply with the rules.
In defiance, he reportedly opened the flask and poured the contents—confirmed to be alcohol—on the security officer. FAAN described his actions as a violation of the National Civil Aviation Security Programme, which outlines strict procedures for the handling of liquids during air travel.
The agency reaffirmed its commitment to upholding safety and order at all airports and stated that investigations are ongoing to determine further disciplinary or legal steps.
