NPF Extends Tinted Glass Permit Enforcement Deadline to October 2

The Nigeria Police Force has announced a further extension of the enforcement date for the tinted glass permit regulation, moving it to October 2, 2025. The decision, approved by Inspector-General of Police Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, follows a surge in applications on the official portal, which the police described as a sign of growing public compliance.

Force spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi stated that the extension would allow the police to thoroughly review all pending applications and ensure permits are granted only to eligible individuals, in line with national security standards. He added that the delay will also provide time to enhance both digital and physical verification processes, ensuring a secure and transparent issuance system.

The police urged applicants to submit their requests exclusively via the official portal, possap.gov.ng, and warned against engaging third parties. Members of the public are encouraged to report any incidents of extortion, hidden charges, or unauthorized processing through the police hotline.
